Many times your profession is not your vocation. The latter can be found when you least expect it. It's not only about wanting, but also about doing, trying, and trying, until you really feel that you are in the right place for you. Mateo Garrido Lecca will tell you how he decided to bet on what he is most passionate about: comedy. He will also tell you what he had to face to get to accept himself and how he has learned not to give up despite some of the criticism he has received in his career. These life experiences and learnings, which he will share with you, have made him one of the most important rising figures in Peruvian comedy.  

He will also tell you about his perspective on "laughter" which he considers a necessary good. Knowing how to laugh at life and at ourselves is a skill that we must learn to develop in order to live in a healthier way.

You will learn through Mateo's experiences the importance of following your passion and finding your vocation, even when your initial profession does not reflect it. You will also understand that laughter is a necessary good, how to learn to laugh at life and at ourselves.

I was born in October 1992. I've done the math and I'm pretty sure I was conceived on Valentine's Day. It seems to me that the date wasn't very good because given the result, I guess my folks didn't try very hard that night.

I wore braces for 8 years. Yes, for 8 years I had an iron in the inside of my cheek.

I studied engineering because my old man and my grandfather were engineers, because I did well in numbers and because an engineer has a better chance of getting a job than an administrator.

Since school I tell monkey jokes that apparently you like, because you got here for a reason... but I never thought this would be my life since I gave up everything that March 11, 2017. That was the day I took my first selfie.

Since that day I haven't stopped writing humor: some good jokes, others not so good... some polemic, others white humor. Some on video and others on radio. Many are the good memories, but more are the failures.
