This course will introduce you to the basics of the R programming language and how to write programs that manipulate, read and analyze quantitative and qualitative data. To do so, you will first be introduced to the basic functions of R, how to create and select parts of a data frame and how to visualize graphs with ggplot. Finally, we will identify how to create new variables, summaries and reorder information to manipulate data; as well as how to analyze data through statistical analysis.

You will learn the basics of the R programming language and write programs that manipulate, read and analyze quantitative and qualitative data.

General public, students, researchers and professionals, people who wish to learn programming in a software to manipulate, analyze and graph data.

Ricardo Ramos

Expert in Development and Implementation of Statistical Models

Ricardo Ramos holds a Master's degree in Economics with a major in Finance and Capital Markets (PUCP), with specialization studies in Big Data & Analytics (UNI) and CQF level I certification. He has experience in the financial and insurance system in the construction, implementation and monitoring of predictive statistical models. He teaches the Econometrics and Time Series course at the Faculty of Economic Engineering (UNI). He is currently working as an Expert in Development and Implementation of Statistical Models at Scotiabank.
